Diagnostics & Support

ChannelUP includes built-in diagnostics tools for troubleshooting issues.

Debug Overlay

Open the diagnostics overlay from the settings menu. It shows:

  • App version and webOS version
  • Tuner information — model, firmware, device ID
  • Signal quality for the current channel
  • Active tuners — which tuners are in use and what channels they're tuned to
  • Storage usage — localStorage and db8 stats
  • Performance metrics — guide load times, render times
  • EIT scanner status — scan progress, event counts, cache age

Sending a Diagnostic Report

If you need support, you can send a diagnostic report directly from the debug overlay:

  1. Open the Diagnostics screen from the settings menu.
  2. Select Send Diagnostic.
  3. A QR code appears on screen — scan it with your phone to open the feedback form.
  4. On your phone, add a short description of the issue and submit.

The diagnostic report packages up your app state, device information, and tuner status. No personal data is included — see the Privacy Policy for details.

What to Include

When contacting support, include:

  • What happened
  • Which channel or content was affected
  • Approximate time the issue occurred
  • Your TV model

This gives the support team the right data to help you quickly. You can also email [email protected] directly.
